Subsea Umbilical Termination Assembly (SUTA) – Protec Powe

The Protec Power Subsea Umbilical Termination Assembly (SUTA) is a subsea interface designed to terminate a control umbilical and distribute its hydraulic, chemical, fiber-optic, and electrical services to subsea equipment. The assembly connects the main control umbilical to flying leads, which can then interface with subsea trees, subsea distribution units, manifolds, and other subsea equipment.

Protec Power states that its SUTA systems are mounted on dedicated mounting bases installed on subsea foundations such as mudmats. Its project experience includes SUTAs incorporating complex 316 stainless-steel tubing networks, ROV-compatible interfaces, electrical connectors, and cathodically protected subsea structures.

Because the equipment is custom designed, dimensions, pressure ratings, connector configuration, number of hydraulic/chemical circuits, electrical and fiber-optic interfaces, materials, and testing requirements should be specified according to the individual subsea project.
